The Ultimate Guide to Gamifying Your Sales Team in 2021

We added a new view on the Outfield Android app to view your deal pipeline stages broken down by ordered products. This allows you to gain insight into product distribution for your accounts over time. The Outfield iOS app will also include this view in the coming weeks.

We also added a view deal screen to the Outfield Android app so you can more easily scan the details of your deals & orders in an invoice-like format. This view is in addition to the existing PDF invoice view. Similarly, this view will be available in the iOS app soon.

Here are the highlights of the rest of the enhancements and fixes:

-   PDF quotes are live on the Android app
-   Previously launched on the iOS app, when you prospect for new leads or accounts on the Android app, you do not need to repeat your search each time you add a new one. Instead, it will add it to your places, show a success popup, and then you can continue adding more.
-   Custom revenue settings for deals are now hidden when not applicable for improved ease-of-use

A number of new enhancements have gone live over the past couple of weeks. First, you can now generate a PDF of an order in quote format in addition to the existing invoice format. Access to this enhancement is live on the Outfield web app and will go live on the mobile apps later this month.

Second, we have added a few new user level permissions. When you edit a user on the Outfield web app, you will now see new options for create places, delete places, create contacts, and delete contacts. This enhancement is useful if your workflow involves importing and assigning all your rep accounts before they hit the field so they don't end up adding duplicate accounts by mistake if they don't see the right one in their account list at first.

Here are the highlights of the rest of the enhancements and fixes:

-   View upcoming calendar events and add new ones for an account directly from the account scene on the Outfield iOS app
-   Added a dropdown to each deal in the list on the account page on the Outfield web app so you can view, edit, and delete with less clicks
-   Bug fix for league play filters and team activity filters on the Outfield iOS app

Quotes, User Permissions, & More – May 3 Feature Updates

Last week we launched order triggers and actions to our [Zapier](https://zapier.com) integration. Now you can both retrieve and create Outfield orders via Zapier to integrate with the other apps in your company tech stack. When creating Outfield orders in Zapier, you may want to take a look at this [Zapier tutorial](https://zapier.com/help/doc/how-use-line-items-formatterv2#transform-skus-from-an-online-sales-application-to-an-invoicing-application) on how to handle line items. Contact us if you would like access to our private Zapier app. We will be launching it to their public marketplace later this year.

We also launched a number of other enhancements. Here are the highlights:

-   **User level permissions now also apply to mobile.** When you edit a team member in the Outfield web app, you'll see a section called Permissions. This section allows you to set permitted features for that team member across all Outfield platforms (web, iOS, Android), such as allowing them access to deals or team activity.
-   **iOS account prospecting has been improved.** Now when you prospect for new leads or accounts on iOS, you do not need to repeat your search each time you add a new one. Instead, it will add it to your places, show a success popup, and then you can continue adding more.
-   **Android date filtering for deals.** You can now filter your deals on the Outfield Android app by created on, date added to stage, and order date. This enhancement will also go live on iOS later this week.
-   Bug fix for weekly dashboard pdf reports when you have multiple teams and a large number of KPIs.

Inventory & Order Management - Apr 12 Feature Updates

As we approach launching a large add-on we have been working on behind the scenes for a number of months now, we have still been releasing various smaller fixes and improvements. Here's a few recent ones:

-   We fixed an issue on some newer Android devices where navigating to an account from the route scene was not working properly
-   We fixed an edge case on iOS where the account zip code could end up being saved in the region field
-   On the web app, we fixed a caching issue on the activity map where all the map pins would not show in a certain case
-   Although the phone number field country code helper on accounts in the web app was helpful in many cases, it turns out there were too many edge cases to account for. Thus we have reverted that field to a conventional text field so you can use whatever format you'd like.

Big Add-On In The Works - Mar 8 Feature Updates

We have two updates to report this week. First is that we have been working hard behind the scenes on improving and expanding our integration with [Zapier](https://zapier.com). Zapier is an integration tool that allows you to connect 2000+ apps including Outfield. It's one of the easiest and most powerful ways to integrate Outfield into your other business tools, no coding required. Currently, Outfield is in invite-only mode on Zapier as we continue to refine it. Second, we have been expanding our integration with [Closers](https://closersapp.com). Closers is the premier global sales league where you can take your competitive spirit to the next level. You can already sign in to Closers with your Outfield login credentials, but now you can go into your Team Settings in Outfield to add your entire team in one go.

Integration Expansion – Feb 1 Feature Updates

The main update that went live this week was that we updated the route planner in the Outfield mobile apps to better handle a very large number of accounts. Before this update the user interface would sometimes slow when you had a very large number of accounts while you planned your route with multiple stops. After the update, the route planner is nice and snappy in this case.

Other notable fixes & improvements:

-   The importer has been updated to more clearly identify columns where an Outfield ID is needed, e.g. it now says Outfield Account ID rather than just Outfield ID.
-   The Outfield web interface received a face lift here and there. Specifically, we applied the new left border style (that made its first appearance a few months ago) has now been applied throughout the interface.

We recently launched a couple improvements to Outfield forms. First, you can now add multiple conditions per field when you are building a form with conditional form fields. Here is an example screenshot of what that looks like:

Second, Outfield now supports forms with hundreds of fields as opposed to dozens for fields. This was a necessary update for inspection forms for example where a large number of fields is standard.

Other notable fixes & improvements:

-   Notes, custom fields, and other text that may contain URLs now have auto link detection and conversion into hyperlinks in the web interface, saving you a copy/paste job.
-   Phone numbers with extensions now have improved support
