Last week we launched order triggers and actions to our [Zapier](https://zapier.com) integration. Now you can both retrieve and create Outfield orders via Zapier to integrate with the other apps in your company tech stack. When creating Outfield orders in Zapier, you may want to take a look at this [Zapier tutorial](https://zapier.com/help/doc/how-use-line-items-formatterv2#transform-skus-from-an-online-sales-application-to-an-invoicing-application) on how to handle line items. Contact us if you would like access to our private Zapier app. We will be launching it to their public marketplace later this year.

We also launched a number of other enhancements. Here are the highlights:

-   **User level permissions now also apply to mobile.** When you edit a team member in the Outfield web app, you'll see a section called Permissions. This section allows you to set permitted features for that team member across all Outfield platforms (web, iOS, Android), such as allowing them access to deals or team activity.
-   **iOS account prospecting has been improved.** Now when you prospect for new leads or accounts on iOS, you do not need to repeat your search each time you add a new one. Instead, it will add it to your places, show a success popup, and then you can continue adding more.
-   **Android date filtering for deals.** You can now filter your deals on the Outfield Android app by created on, date added to stage, and order date. This enhancement will also go live on iOS later this week.
-   Bug fix for weekly dashboard pdf reports when you have multiple teams and a large number of KPIs.

Outfield Orders To Zapier - Apr 19 Feature Updates

As we approach launching a large add-on we have been working on behind the scenes for a number of months now, we have still been releasing various smaller fixes and improvements. Here's a few recent ones:

-   We fixed an issue on some newer Android devices where navigating to an account from the route scene was not working properly
-   We fixed an edge case on iOS where the account zip code could end up being saved in the region field
-   On the web app, we fixed a caching issue on the activity map where all the map pins would not show in a certain case
-   Although the phone number field country code helper on accounts in the web app was helpful in many cases, it turns out there were too many edge cases to account for. Thus we have reverted that field to a conventional text field so you can use whatever format you'd like.

Outfield is Coming to Android

You have likely been hearing about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) recently and we know you probably have a few questions. Here are some details including how it affects your experience with Outfield.

## What Is GDPR?

The GDPR is a big change in data protection laws in Europe since the European Union (EU) Data Protection Directive introduced in 1995, also known as Directive 95/46/EC or the Directive. The main goal of the GDPR is to strengthen the security and protection of personal data in the EU and effectively replace the Directive and all local laws relating to it. It's key principles involve improving fairness, transparency, purpose for data collection, data minimization, data accuracy & deletion, security, and accountability. Further, it applies to all US based companies, including Outfield, that do business in the EU.

This is also known as “the right to be forgotten.” Outfield now allows you to delete your personal data in the settings section of the Outfield web app.

What's the point of an app if you can't determine its influence on your bottom line? If you can't see the impact that a piece of software makes, then why use it at all? At Outfield, we understand data is the key to analyzing success. That's why starting today we're launching a new data export tool for sales managers.

Run all the analysis you want to with all the data you need: compare outside sales reps' checkin duration, frequency, location, etc. We'd personally suggest putting some of these figures next to sales data (in Excel) to see how personal interaction and face-to-face conversations increase overall sales.

We have two updates to report this week. First is that we have been working hard behind the scenes on improving and expanding our integration with [Zapier](https://zapier.com). Zapier is an integration tool that allows you to connect 2000+ apps including Outfield. It's one of the easiest and most powerful ways to integrate Outfield into your other business tools, no coding required. Currently, Outfield is in invite-only mode on Zapier as we continue to refine it.
